Overnight Desk Producing:


• All duties of regional and international producers in addition to being the go-to person for any incoming planning/broadcast questions for the CBS network, foreign clients and CBS affiliates.
• Planning, researching & producing PKGs for 3a, 5a offers.

International Producing:


•Editing feeds from APTN and Reuters wire services, along with European counterparts such as Eurovison, BBC Network 10 in Australia. Also Canadian and Latin American clients, CBC, Global News and AIL.
• Working with network Foreign Desk to gather elements in case of breaking news
• Bringing Live feeds from our international clients in case of major breaking news.
• Approving stories for the server and pitching during 4:30 pm national editorial call.

Regional Producing:

• Contacting affiliate stations for assigned region for their daily planner
• Coordinating with regional stations about crew presence and live feeds for pressers etc. in breaking news stations.
• Clearing footage/packages from affiliate stations for network news usage on morning and evening news shows
• Approving contributed and edited footage on Newspath for publishing
• Pitching major stories of the day from assigned region
• Liaising between National Desk and regional stations for setting up crews in case of breaking news.

BA duties:

• Editing live feeds of press conferences and aerials, sound bites in breaking news stories.
• Writing editorials for edited feeds on the NewsPath website.
• Clearing social media in breaking news situations for use in morning and evening news broadcasts.
• Going on shoots for potential stories for broadcast and editing them for the Newspathnow.com server.
• Finding archival and file footage from CBS Affiliates and CBS International clients.
